More efficient, smarter, better: dataspot 4.6 is here!
An update that has it all! After intensive development work, dataspot. 4.6 brings new, powerful functions that make metadata management even more productive and intuitive.
The highlights at one glance:
Better performance and transparency even with large amounts of data
dataspot. Users can look forward to numerous improvements in the new release that simplify working with large volumes of (meta) data.
What does this mean in detail?
To increase efficiency, the model and collection view of large models now loads even faster. For a better overview, a scroll function has been added to the hierarchical view and the number of display modes has been reduced. The asset statistics are now loaded in a separate accordion if required.

In the interests of an efficient work process, the editing of elements in a model with many assets has been accelerated. Linking and selecting elements is even easier thanks to revised drop-downs. In addition, loading processes are now also displayed on a large scale in the tool - so it is clear at first glance that the respective page is still in loading mode.

The display of diagrams also has a new upgrade: additional display settings can now be made in the lineage diagram to make particularly large diagrams clearer. For example, sub-elements (such as attributes and reference values) can be shown and hidden in the lineage diagram. If you need an even better overview, you can also set how many levels should be visible in the lineage diagram.

Simplified work processes: Editors can perform imports
Whereas previously administrators had to be involved in importing data, with the new release editors can now also perform imports in dataspot. Selected editors now have the option of carrying out mass edits. However, responsibilities and authorizations remain securely regulated! Assets can only be edited within the scope of the workflow definition and responsibilities. Editors are bound to the workflow and can only make mass changes in the area for which they are responsible. The setting must also be activated separately - the authorization of editors for the import is not a basic setting.

Find tickets more easily with the advanced search
To help dataspot. users can make the most of their time, we have also simplified the search process for tickets. An advanced search with detailed search operators is now also available for the ticket search. This means that tickets can be searched for their specific content very easily and in a targeted manner.

The search results can also be exported as CSV.

Automatic creation of users
Ready for the icing on the cake? Release 4.6 sets new standards for making work easier in user administration! Users can now also be created automatically in dataspot. with a specific access level based on their user ID or group ID. In the access rules in the client menu, you can therefore configure exactly whether new users should be created as read-only users, editors or administrators (e.g. based on their membership of a group) - or whether they should be given access to dataspot. in a read-only role as before. Among other things, the new feature makes it easier to manage users for new employees and simplifies the assignment of rights.
